Recipe for Cannabis-Infused Hatch Green Chile Hot Sauce
Spice up any gathering with Farmer’s Friend cannabis-infused Green Hot Sauce! This recipe requires ample time for lacto-fermentation- plan ahead!
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. roasted peeled and seeded Hatch chiles
1 serrano pepper roughly chopped
2-3 T chopped celery leaves
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 cups of water
1 ½ T Kosher Salt
1 tsp honey
Farmer’s Friend tincture of your choice (We used CBG:THC in this recipe for daytime fun!)
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat the water and salt together in a small saucepan until dissolved. Let cool 10 minutes.
Add the chiles, pepper, celery leaves, and garlic into a jar with a latch lid, or something that will be easy to allow the fermentation to breathe over the next few weeks.
Pour the salt water brine over the top and seal.
Store in a cool, dry spot.
Open the jar daily to release pressure and to prevent leakage. Fermentation should take 3-4 weeks. You will see lots of little bubbles forming in the jar.
Pour the contents of the fermentation jar into a blender and blend until smooth.
Add 15ml of your favorite Farmer’s Friend tincture (15 full droppers) and 1 teaspoon of honey. Blend for 60 seconds more.
You can press the hot sauce through a sieve if you want the consistently a little more velvety and thin, or leave as is. Once the mixture is thoroughly blended, pour into bottles using a funnel. Seal the bottles tightly, and store in the refrigerator.
